the cause of my infertility is stage IV endometriosis . a large endometrioma swallowed up the R side of my reproductive organs, leading to the removal of my tube and ovary. it also twisted the life out of the L tube and displaced my L ovary. you can read about the "big" operation here, though i have has a few since then. i am lucky to have a remaining ovary and my uterus. with no communication between the remaining ovary and twisted tube, IVF is the only chance at getting me pregnant.
the cause of sonja's infertility was adenomyosis which lead to a hysterectomy 2 years ago at the age of 24. sonja also has stage IV endometriosis, which led to the loss of her left ovary in summer 2010.
